           A Single Window Pension Cell has been created in CAO’s Office with a view to streamline the processing of pension cases and quick disposal of grievances in respect of retiring / retired AFHQ personnel. All pension cases of officials of AFHQ, who are superannuating, will be dealt by the newly created Pension Cell.  The inception of pension cell will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of pension related issues.

(Reasons for our existence)

  • To provide hassle free pension benefits and resolve post retirement pension issues of AFHQ employees.
  • Streamline and quick processing of pension cases and prompt disposal of grievances of post retirement cases in a time bound manner.
  • Digitization of all records i.e. closed pension cases as well as retiring cases.


  • Starting the process of documentation of pension 2 years prior to retirement by sensitizing various admin sections regarding scrutiny of Service books with check lists such as Verified Qualifying Service (VQS), nomination details, family details, former service if any etc.
  • Verification of length of service verifying Dias non, Suspension period, Foreign services (Autonomous bodies) for which pension contribution has not been made, EOL on private affaires.
  • Verification of earlier service if done in other Dept.
  • Communication with the retiring official regarding actions required to be done at the level of individual. Check list for pensioner has been prepared and can be accessed here.
  • Processing pension cases one year before retirement.
  • Issuance of PPO 2 months before retirement through liaison with PCDA (P), Allahabad.
  • Processing the cases in laid down time scheduled.
  • Immediate redressal on grievances of retired employees with prompt and affective liaising with O/o PCDA (HQ).
  • Prompt disposal of grievances of retiring employees.
  • Emphasizing the record management.
  • Preparing of data sheet for monitoring of under processing pension cases.
  • All pension cases of retired employees will be kept in data base along with scanned copy.

  • Phase wise transfer of closed pension records from all Admin Sections.
  • Preparing of year wise / month wise digital data of closed pension cases with scanned copy of PPO.
